Inclusion of Military and Peace Corps Veterans as a Demographic Group
BE IT RESOLVED that all correspondence that is disseminated by the Whatcom County Democratic Party (WCDCC) which encourages participation in Party events, conventions, committees, or panels and all correspondence concerning new membership or renewal of membership in the WCDCC, or any and all correspondence that refers to demographic groups (i.e., affected groups, women, senior citizens, etc.) shall include reference to “military and Peace Corps veterans” where and when other demographic groups are mentioned; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that any and all membership, application, or survey forms disseminated by the WCDCC that make mention of current issues (social justice, education programs, labor issues, etc.) shall include the phrase “veterans’ issues” when and where other current issues are mentioned or listed.
