Higher Education Support Programs
WHEREAS first generation, low-income, Native American, and disabled individuals successfully complete a higher education at lower rates than more privileged members of society; and
WHEREAS educational support for members of these groups significantly increases their chances of successfully completing a higher education;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Whatcom County Democrats (WCDCC) support increased funding for and expansion of programs that help first generation, low-income, Native American, and disabled students gain admission to and successfully complete undergraduate and graduate level studies.
