  • The abolishment of offshore bank and corporate secrecy systems that allow bank accounts or companies to be registered without listing the names of the owners;
  • Opposition to any Superstore Wal-Mart in Whatcom County;
  • Changing the US Bankruptcy Law so that pensioners and employees with pension benefits in company-owned pension plans be first in line as creditors above all others when a company files for bankruptcy or reorganization under the bankruptcy laws;
  • Passing legislation to regulate payday lending business practices and provide fair and reasonable consumer protections for Washington customers, including longer loan repayment periods and fair interest rates;
