WTA to hold hearing on service cuts

Whatcom Transportation Authority will hold a hearing on the latest plan for bus service cuts, a plan that would eliminate all Sunday service starting this fall. The agency will hold a hearing at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, in Whatcom County Council Chambers, 311 Grand Ave.

The hearing will be held on a proposed plan that differs from a previously considered one, although it would also eliminate all Sunday service. The new plan, altered after an earlier public hearing, would reduce cuts to Bellingham Technical College and to St. Joseph hospital, among other changes.
